LuMe - Light Meter
By downloading or using LuMe - Light Meter ("LuMe", "the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. LuMe is developed and distributed by Contrast Studio LLC, a California limited liability company ("we", "us"). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
LuMe is a light metering tool for photographers. It uses your device's camera sensor to measure ambient light and calculate suggested camera exposure settings. It is intended as a reference aid — not a substitute for professional judgment.
LuMe's readings are estimates based on your device's sensor. Actual exposure results may vary depending on your camera, lens, and shooting conditions.
LuMe is free to download and use. The core features — matrix and center-weighted light metering, the flash calculator, the depth-of-field calculator, exposure compensation, ND filter compensation, reciprocity correction, the Zone System view, and the viewfinder overlays (grid, histogram, clipping warning, EV badge) — are available to all users at no cost.
LuMe Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks additional features. As of this writing, Pro unlocks spot metering, custom camera profiles, and LiDAR-based subject distance (the latter only on devices that include a LiDAR sensor). The exact set of Pro features may change over time.
LuMe Pro is sold as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. There is no subscription, no trial, and no recurring charge. Once purchased, your Pro entitlement is permanent and transfers across devices signed into the same Apple ID. You can restore a prior purchase from the paywall at any time using the Restore Purchase button.
If you subscribed to LuMe — Annual before LuMe transitioned to a freemium model, your subscription remains valid and continues to provide Pro access for the remainder of its term. You can manage or cancel it at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings: open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions.
The annual subscription is no longer offered to new customers. Existing subscribers may continue renewing for as long as the subscription remains available in the App Store.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their standard policies, which you can find in the App Store. We do not issue refunds directly.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use LuMe on any Apple device you own or control, subject to these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

LuMe and all associated content, design, code, and branding are the property of Contrast Studio LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of any part of the app.
LuMe is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exposure readings will be accurate for any specific use case.
You assume full responsibility for how you use the information provided by the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, missed shots, or equipment damage.
We may update, modify, or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time without notice. We are not obligated to provide updates, support, or continued availability of any feature. Active subscribers (LuMe — Annual) will retain Pro access for the remainder of their paid period if a Pro feature is removed; LuMe Pro purchasers will retain Pro access for the lifetime of the app, subject to App Store availability and platform compatibility.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
